Equilasers, Inc. is a designer and manufacturer of advanced, compact solid-state lasers and laser systems.

Founded in 1994 at the heart of Silicon Valley by two laser engineers with over 50 years of combined military laser design experience. Equilasers, Inc. strives to bring rigors military laser design to commercial products by introducing compact, rugged, and highly efficient lasers and systems designed for specific applications.

The two core business of Equilasers, Inc. are Laser Micro-Welding Systems and OEM Medical Lasers.

The EDW-15 Desktop Laser is a self-contained, fiber-optic delivered, compact Nd:YAG laser welder designed for precision joining of metal parts. Specifically, its design is optimized for laser micro-welding with highly precised laser energy delivery at variable pulsewidth. Designed similar to that of a military laser, the EDW-15 is maintenance free, flashlamp is the only disposable component that is easily replaced.

In addition, the EDW-15 can be controlled and operated from a PC so that it is readily interfaced with motion control software.
